Can I use gtk apps. in my palm z22?

Hi -- This is not something that is specifically enabled by either the Garnet OS Development Suite (supports traditional Garnet OS APIs) or the ACCESS Linux Platform Development Suite (supports GTK programming but only on devices running ACCESS Linux Platform (ALP). z22 is not running ALP. Sorry.

So that means one cannot use ALP to write program for Z22?
Whick development Suite work for Z22?

Is there anything specific that prevents a port of this type to a Garnet OS based version of GTK,GDK, GLib?

I do not know if GTK APIs could be hosted on top of Garnet OS but if they could, then you could port GTK apps to a Garnet device that included these GTK libraries.

Supporting GTK in the OS would be a question for Palm as the maker of the Z22 device.

Isn't Access the owner and responsible for the Garnet OS at the moment?

GTK API support is not a feature of Garnet OS so it would be up to a licensee to add support for it. On the other hand. ACCESS Linux Platform does support GTK so GTK desktop apps are easily modified to run on ALP.
