Hi, heard about LiMo but after joining and looking at platforms I get ALP, Garnet OS, NetFront Browser and JV-Lite 2. Exactly which API is LiMO? Do I need to learn Garnet OS, NetFront Browser and JV-Lite and ALP before I can create LiMO applications?
Be happy for any help!

Good question... these are all very different development environments intended to run on the ACCESS Linux Platform. ALP Native is the native Linux environment. It is GTK based and you can use the ALP Development Suite to build applications. ALP also includes 2 virtual machines intended to run Garnet (formerly Palm OS) and Java applications. The NetFront Browser development environment is still in progress and will be for developing widget applications.
LiMo is a foundation that we are a member of intended to enable the design, development and deployment of mobile phones based on a modular Linux architecture. It is still in development and what it means to developers is still to be determined. It is most relevant to the Native Linux development environment.
For now, you should familiarize yourself with the Native ALP environment and the ALP Development Suite if you are interested in the LiMo platform. Stay tuned for further announcements regarding developing for LiMo. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,
Ivan
