When will an SDK for Ubuntu 8.04 be available? I had tried installing the 2.4 release of the SDK on an Ubuntu 8.04 installation - and was not able to configure scratchbox - I received several unresolved symbol linkage errors.

BTW sources (deb patches) of modular deb packages are welcome,
I could help if I had time for

The current SDK can be installed on Ubuntu 8.04 with the following work around:

Edit /etc/sysctl.conf, changing (or adding the following values):
vm.vdso_enabled = 0
vm.mmap_min_addr = 4096

Since this is a system file, you will need to use "sudo" to edit that file:
sudo vi /etc/sysctl.conf
