Hi, I want to connect to a server application run under ALP Simulator, and the client application is a Win32 application (in the Windows XP that runs the ALPSDK VMWare)
Win XP uses 192.168.145.xxx Ubuntu uses 192.168.145.xxx (br0) and 192.168.3.xxx (tap0)
Is there a combination of the options : * Create host network bridge * Enable NAT * Keep host network bridge that would let Win XP connect to the ALP Simulator ?
Thanks
The administrator has disabled public write access.
With the following settings in ACCESS Simulator Options, it is almost perfect: [x] Create host network bridge [ ] Enable NAT [ ] Keep host network bridge eth1 is set up with the correct parameters (DHCP on the local network, ...)
From another computer, I can connect to a TCP/IP application running on the Simulator
However, 2 things randomly work bad:
* Message "ACCESS Simulator Error" "Unable to lauch target" "Check for correct target configuration" ; I click [OK] and it runs anyway, but Simulator Menu is not accessible (e.g. Action / Telnet to target is gray)
* When exiting the simulator, the eth1 looses its IP adress. I found this workaround, but if someone has a better idea : 1) ifconfig eth1 down 2) ifconfig eth1 up 3) if config -> now eth1 is OK
Thanks for any advice.

I'm currently having a similar issue. However, it happens all the time for me.
I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 , AMD64.
When I start the simulator it says: "Please wait while the target launches."
After a while, this fails and says: "Unable to launch target. Check for correct target configuration."
Do I need to be connected to the internet for this to work correctly? I'm connected to the internet via a linksys wireless usb card (wlan0), and I am not using my ethernet port (eth0).
Someone please help.
