ACCESS Linux Platform Development Suite 2.4 Released
Download the latest release of the ACCESS Linux Platform Development Suite with SDK v.2.4. This release includes many platform and application improvements including a new touch-based user experience model. New developer features in this release include Eclipse IDE updates, a new default simulator application with skinning and controllable device characteristics, new Exchange Manager APIs, support for Ubuntu 7.10.
With this latest release of the ALP SDK, you can install on Ubuntu release 7.10 as this release has been tested for compatibility. The default simulator is now alp-sim which runs the platform in an interactive phone skin. Now you can interact with your application and ALP in something that resembles a typical device, using the on-screen keypad, five-way navigation control, and buttons for input as well as interacting with the “touchscreen” display with the mouse. In addition, you can simulate hardware conditions such as low-battery, plugged-in and more in this simulator release.
This SDK features a new ALP project template you can use as the base for your application. New APIs for Exchange Manager are included in this release plus APIs and defines have been changed and added throughout the public API set. You will find all of these as you use the Development Suite IDE which has been updated with the latest Eclipse and CDT releases.
Please see the ACCESS Linux Platform Release Notes included in the download for complete details.
