Three Adults Arrested For Drug-Related Charges And Chemical Endangerment of Two Children
What would you do if you saw dangerous drugs near a child? Would you report the parent? Remove the drugs from the premises? Call the police?
Those would all be normal reactions. But Katherine Page Kelley, Morgan Elizabeth Haag, and Ryan Michael Bernard had a different reaction to drugs around children. The three-drug abusers were allegedly holding and presumably using methamphetamine in the presence of two small children, who police say had easy access to the illegal drugs. The methamphetamine was out in plain sight, and none of the three adults made any efforts to conceal it or move it out of reach of the children.
A woman was arrested, along with two other suspects found in her home, for drug-related charges and chemical endangerment of a child.
26-year-old Katherine Page Kelley was arrested in her home while being served with a felony warrant (allegedly related to charges of credit card fraud). While at her door, the police clearly saw methamphetamine within reach of Kelley’s two young children. The police immediately contacted the proper authorities and had the children removed from Kelley’s home.
Kelley was arrested and charged with possession of an illegal controlled substance (methamphetamine), two counts of child endangerment (chemical), and credit card fraud.
23-year-old Morgan Elizabeth Haag and 31-year-old Ryan Michael Bernard were also arrested at Kelley’s house. Haag was charged with possession of an illegal controlled substance (methamphetamine) and two counts of child endangerment (chemical). Bernard was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an illegal controlled substance (methamphetamine), and two counts of child endangerment (chemical).
All three were arrested and transported to jail without protest or incident, according to the police report.
Kelley’s bond is set at $17,500, Haag’s bond is set at $15,000, and Bernard’s bond is set at $15,300.
